Don't know the logistics of it all, but I live on a snow belt and if it's snowing it means it's warm enough to be tolerable. So even though it's a pain to drive through, at least I'm not getting frostbite within seconds of exposure.

Personally, I've had enough for one winter. For the most part in the last 3 weeks its either been snowing like crazy, or -0 outside.

The last 2 weeks we had maybe 2 days higher then 10 degrees.....
The last couple days' weather here temps 1st:

Tuesday: 43 , raining like crazy
Wednesday: -6 (at 7AM,wind chill about -40) all the rain turns to ice, then it starts snowing (no school)
Thursday: 10, snowing like crazy (no school)
Friday: 15, snowing like crazy

We are in a snow belt too... besides system snow we also get to enjoy lake-effect.

Had enough of winter. Period.

If it snowed in Sydney, this planet would be in serious trouble.

I thought it snowed in Australia during June and July.
On account that in Australia everything is upside down and reversed.
Like the toilet flushing the wrong way.

Australian toilets don't usually do the huge swirl thing like in North America. We actually try to conserve our water.

It snows in the Snowy Mountains. Go figure.

I've heard of snow in Melbourne and Tasmania though.

snow, ugh, wish it would just drop on the grass and such and stay off of the streets and sidewalks! We really need to train the snow better!
Seeing as I am no longer in school....if you are late to work it comes out of your paycheck. (had one job where it snowed soo badly that soo many people were late, they were going to fire everyone since these people had been late before, also because of the snow, but they decided to be nice and not fire them....until the next time, glad I dont work there any longer)...
Hate driving in the snow since every year people seem to forget HOW to drive in it----come on people its only been a few months since the last one! But even some flurries and everyone is doing 10mph on the highways (a good reason for road rage I believe).
I dont mind the cold so much after living in Japan without any insulation in the house I lived in (nor heating other than a portable heater, and without the insulation I spent enough on fuel to heat the outside!)....when it was 40 outside it was only slightly warmer inside. And the school I worked in (ok almost ALL of the Japanese schools) have NO hvac in the classrooms----they have windows, thats it (exception, one of the schools I worked at was near the airport so a few of the rooms had aircon, but no heating)....so when its 40 outside, its about 42 inside. You learn to layer and wear warm undies and such.
So snow, dont like, cold, ....

I was 1st car in the middle lane at a red light. A person heading across slid and hit the car in the left hand turn lane and then both cars hit me.
My insurance covered it, but the damages were over 7,000 dollars! On a car that I bought for less than that.

Aww, you guys are so lucky. I've never seen seen snow in my life before! I hate living on the equator...

I would love to live in a snowy place. I could go ice fishing, snowboard and best of all...

Wear all those stylish leather jackets and coats. Here, I need excuses like going to the movies and heavy rain to wear a jacket haha.

I really, really want to see snow someday

Well it's nearly 1.30pm here, and no sign of snow.

I can box it up and send it to you! (I always tell my mom that when she tells me about the lack of rain they are having in Florida where she lives). I am looking at about 6" on my balcony as I write this....
and Red....dang glad you werent hurt! (had a car accident with damages like that when I was in high school---bent the under frame of a unibody car that we had bought for 4k....cost more than 5 to fix it ). Lots of people were sliding around last night, I was not one of them. I learned to drive in december 19xx, so my drivers ed was right after a major ice storm----first day driving!! oh yeah, learned about stopping distances real fast!!

Being in Wisconsin, I have developed a great tolerance for snow, it doesn't bother me (Wisconsin uses its natural selection to weed out the pansies).

But, what really gets to me is when it gets to -5 F or below with like, a -20 F wind chill.

I've only ran the heat in my car on the way to work once this winter.

Yeah sliding is scary cosyfiep. I go really slow now.
I did cause an accident once.
I braked coming up to a red light and my car hit a black ice patch and I slid sooo slowly into the van in front of me. There were no damages at all, not one! But it was painfully tense as I was sitting there knowing I was eventually going to hit that van.

Watch this patch cause a crazy pile up over and over again.

Take how fast they are going here and I was going 1/10 that speed and I still slid at least 4 car lengths.

Here in Quebec it snowed and then rained hours later making the snow very heavy.. I had to shovel a path to our side door and it took me 30 mins instead of the usual 10.

Snow is bad.. but wet snow that sticks to everything it worse.
